Vintage South Bend Solid Glass Bait Casting Rod BC-1-112-260 6’0” This is a two-piece solid glass vintage South Bend bait casting rod. Model BC-1-112-260 rod is 6’0” in length and weighs 8.5 oz. Listed by South Bend Gladding as an “Action Tested” design. Rod has a 5” specie cork grip with a brown plastic butt cap. The 6" brown enameled handle and reel seat has a screw lock design and a slight offset. Rod has four (4) V-frame stainless steel spinning guides and a stainless tip top. Rolled chromed ferrules. Blade is solid glass., triangular in design and goldenrod in color. Specie cork has been cleaned ad reconditioned. Rod is freshly wrapped with “new/old stock” hardware. Guide winds are orange nylon with dark brown extensions. Rod is finished with a premium grade of glass rod varnish. Rod sections will pack separately in clear plastic rod sleeve which will enclose in a brown fiber rod storage tube with plastic end caps. All will ship well protected and insured.
