Vintage Pflueger Akron No. 1893 Conventional Fishing Reel With Bakelite Handle.
This reel is in good used condition for it’s age! Photos have been provided to show cosmetic condition.
I’m not too educated on these older reels, but the drag seems pretty loose. I tried to tighten the drag by twisting the knobs but couldn’t figure it out. Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge will be able to tighten the drag.
I pulled about 5 feet of line from the spool and was able to reel all of the line back without any issues. The guide moves smoothly and places the line right in place as it should.
Spooled with an unknown line - but it’s old!
