Vintage, Custom Made, 9' Telescopic Metal Fly Rod & Reel, Rare.. There is So much History, stories, and memories that go with this. I have researched it and cant find any info on it. What I know about it.
This was my grandfathers. He told me, he had it custom made ( Rod & Reel) by a guy he worked with. He worked in are steel mill. Thats all he ever said about it. No markings on it or the reel. He said, he wanted a rod he could take on trips and could handle the abuse of travel. He used it a few times we went fishing & caught fish with it. I had no desire to use, or want it as a child. I got it after he had passed & used it one time (for his memory) Everything on it works like it did when he got it. The flaws are, -When he had it in the basement. Mice have got to the cork handle (I was going to replace it, but thought it would take away from the vintage look & character) - The tip, he must of repaired, shows solder marks, that he never finished (sanded).

We are getting old (Imagine That), moving, & have no one to hand it down to or anyone that would appreciate it. If we don't sell it. My wife wants me to look into a museum. Got a couple of his old flies, but going to keep them for now.
