Vintage Berkley Open Face Spinning Aluminum Fishing Reel M870 Boxed

This is a Berkley Open Face Spinning Aluminum Fishing Reel, Model 870 in the original box with inserts. It's in excellent condition and operates smoothly. The most notable blemish in the reel is the name of the original owner etched into the spine of the reel. Other than that, there are a few scattered chips in the paint and the brand label on the reel has fallen off. Please see the detailed product photos.
It was owned by my father-in-law who was known to love fishing, but to love buying fishing gear even more. I pulled this out of my mother-in-law's house when we downsized her into assisted living this year. I'm liquidating her estate to raise funds for her care.
It's a beautiful reel from when reels were made from die cast aluminum. It almost makes me want to take up fishing... or just buy fishing gear... like my father-in-law.
