Rare Penn International 50 Reel, Celebrating 50 years, 1932-1982. The Limited Edition 50th Anniversary tournament reel comes in a mahogany presentation case with blue velvet lining. The side plate of the limited edition reel is numbered 498. The reel has a commemorative 24K gold plated spacer bar in bold relief and an exotic Zebra wood handle. The box locks and comes with 1 key and an unused name plate for the top of the box, storage bag, 2 tubes of reel lube, and the reel mounting hardware & tools. This 46 year old reel has never been used. The reel has a few small wear marks from handling and display but that’s all. The box has some outer wear marks and the narrow strip of wood on the lid front where the lock bracket is mounted came off and has been glued back on. Does not come with any paperwork. It retailed for $800 in 1983.
