Mitchell Garcia Match Reel 840 Bronze Rare 2nd Vrs Restored w Case

This is a Rare 2nd Version High Speed ( 6 to 1 Ratio ) Euro release only  Bronze Color model 840 Match Garcia Mitchell.  This model is the Highest end release at the time sold in mainly the  EU and are almost never sold on this side of the Pond. Reel shows some paint loss but has been fully restored with Rare NOS parts ( see Pictures ). Note the  Reinforced Stem and Counter Weight on back of Rotor for smoother ballanced Rotations.
Bail is Super strong with a new spring, lube port screw, Shaft and much more. Reel comes with a Vintage reel case with no issues , Zips well.. Serial K
There is No play between the Rotor and Body. Reel comes with a clean  Deep Spool for 10 to 20 lb test and a spare shallow spool for 4 lb or less.  ( Stand is not included in the Sale )
Note : Some Collectors believe this is a 840A , but my personal Opinion is Unless there is the Letter A on the Badge its a stretch. Till this day the Elusive 840A is still not found. There is Advertising on this model but no hard example has ever been found ! There is a 841A , ( see stand listing)  810A,330A. Im Hopeful one day it will appear ? ( Holy Grail ) ....
* I consider the 800 series reels the most complex internally and Difficult to properly restore and even more difficult to find NOS parts.  I just went over the reel again due to her sitting for over 15 years in my Collection and Re Oiled and Greased it perfectly !
This reel is now ready for the next 35+ years, just add quality Gun Oil to the Spring/Bail assembly and  from the lower Lube Port every fishing season . Try not to drop ABs the bail systems are sensitive when bent.
This model has a fast 6 to 1 retrieve ideal for Whipping and retrieving in Deeper water fishing. Amazing Speed! Preforms amazing !
If you are looking for the Perfect Reel for high speed whipping and retrieve especially in deeper water , you will not be disappointed ! Buying one of my ABs listings takes the worries out of sub standard listings.
** I would rate this one another 10++++ Mechanical and Paint 9.5 ! I consider this 840 Far better than the New Reels on the Market. New reels will just not last this long ! A Testament to the Mitchell Legend ! These reels (810,811,841,840) wind like a Rolex watch !
