Mitchell Garcia Match Reel 1st vrs 840 Bronze Rare Fully Restored w Case

+This is a First Version High Speed ( 6 to 1 Ratio ) Euro release only Circa 1979 .  Bronze Color model 840 Garcia Mitchell with Engraved Match. This model is the Highest end release at the time sold in mainly the  EU and are almost never sold on this side of the Pond. No VAT taxes! Reel shows some paint loss but has been fully restored with Rare NOS parts l. Note the Non Reinforced Stem and Counter Weight on back of Rotor.
New spring, lube port screw, Shaft , AR dog, Face Plate Screws and much more. Reel comes with a very Clean Well made Red Vintage reel case with no issues , Zips well..
There is No play between the Rotor and Body. Reel comes with a Rare aluminum Deep Spool for 10 to 20 lb test working perfectly.                                                  ( Stand is not included in the Sale )

* I consider the 800 series reels the most complex internally and Difficult to properly restore and even more difficult to find NOS parts. I just went over the reel again due to her sitting for over 20 years in my collection and Re Oiled and Greased it perfectly!
This reel is now ready for the next 40+ years, just add quality Gun Oil to the Spring/Bail assembly and  from the lower Lube Port every fishing season . Try not to drop ABs the bail systems are sensitive when bent.
This model has a fast 6 to 1 retrieve ideal for Whipping and retrieving in Deeper water fishing. Amazing Speed!  This reel is an opportunity to feel how well made these high speed/quality models feel fully restored !
