British Made J.W. Young Beaudex Fly Reel

These reels are built better than any Hardy, Maby not as fancy. Large spring, and pawl, very large spool shaft which is better than ball bearings. Bronze bearing (bushing) in spool. This reel is 3 1/2" diameter. Spool is 1/2" diameter, and weighs 6.2 oz., and is just right for a 8-8 1/2' bamboo, or even a 7 1/2' bamboo. The narrow spool allows no coil in line, thus, the advantage of 3 1/2", doncha see?
